Multnomah County needs you to have your dog up to date on Rabies Vaccine, so Steffie's House does too. The rest of the shots cocktail is up to you and your veterinarian. Steffie's is controlled to stay low-volume, and is a home-style facility. Only one of my dogs ever got kennel cough, and that was the day I took her to another groomer, a high-volume facility, that processed alot of pets, and their facility apparently had an unknown issue at the time. Their stainless steel cage I put her into apparently had not been cleaned. I treated my dog as if she had a bad cold and it went away quickly. Bortadella is preventable, and the shot for it may be pretty much unnecessary unless you need to long term board your dog at a busy or overcrowded kennel that is damp, shaded, enclosed, lacking proper filtered ventilation, poor temperature control, and high stress barking constantly. Steffie's is none of those things, and if none of that is an issue, if your dog gets a cough, a little chicken soup and vitamin c and time out and away from others will cure. The problem does not crop up here because I watch for it, and because it is a regular home with plenty of indoor out door time, no caging, no stress, healthy happy atmosphere. I don't use bleach or harsh cleaners due to they are hard on the respiratory system, and are toxic, and still I have never had a problem with contagions. If you want your dog, and the people that handle them, to be exposed to chemicals like that you will have to go elsewhere. Steffie's House is clean, but not a 'boy in a plastic bubble' sterile box. Remember, even hospitals send people home asap to recover and avoid germs!
